Mosman Park EcoFair at St Lukes returns on
Saturday 7th May 2016 from
10am to 4pm at the
St Luke's Anglican Church and community garden precinct at 20 Monument Street in Mosman Park, behind Mosman Fresh IGA on Stirling Highway.
With over 2000 attendees for the previous year's event, this year's EcoFair will be packed with information and activities which promote the fun, interesting and enjoyable aspect of sustainability. Taking place on beautiful heritage grounds, the event is a not-for-profit community day coordinated by a group of volunteers with any surplus funds donated back to support community sustainability projects.
The one day EcoFair will feature approximately 70 market stalls offering products, services and information about achieving an eco-friendly lifestyle and sustainable living. These span a large category of stalls, from recycled jewellery, food and beverage vendors, gardening, transport options, electric bikes, grey water treatment, lighting solutions, fair trade products, upcycled clothing and fashion, toys, cleaning products, recycled art works and much, much more.
Throughout the day there will be talks and demonstrations on aspects of sustainable living to inspire and educate. Workshops and discussion topics range from how to grow your own vegetables, home preserving, verge makeovers, raw food preparation and green cleaning solutions, to name a few.
There won't be a shortage of entertainment at the EcoFair, which will be alive with buskers, music performances and surprises on the day. Visitors will also be able to enter draws and raffles for prizes such as eco-hampers, garden materials, organic beef and much more.
Children will be entertained with various kids' activities, including painting, exploring cardboard castles and creating unique items from recycled materials. Set to be a busy and entertaining day, visitors will be kept satiated and refreshed with plenty of food and drinks options, including organic coffee, sausage sizzles and fresh juices available for purchase.
