Mosman Bay Walk

The Mosman Bay Walk is one of my favourite Harbour perambulations as it's not too long (less than 3 hours), provides some great views, and goes past some curious places of interest.

You start by taking a ferry to Musgrave Street (South Mosman wharf) and after about 8 kms you end up at Taronga Zoo where you can catch the ferry back to whence you came.

Here is a good written guide to this part of the walk.

A shorter alternative route (and more properly called the Mosman Bay Walk) is to start at Cremorne Point wharf and follow the shoreline around to Musgrave St. This takes around 1 hour and there are lots of places to have a picnic, or you could stop ot the characterful Mosman Rowers for a seafood lunch.

You can then either catch the South Mosman ferry or continue on to Taronga.

Why? Great views and lost of interesting places to see on the way.
