What is the purpose?
1. To relax and enjoy other like-minded people's company
2. Learn how to mosaic so you can mosaic your own projects at home
3. Complete a beautiful mosaic art piece to take home
4. To have a damn fabulous time
A yummy, healthy, morning and afternoon tea is provided in our beautiful tropical outdoor garden area. I ask students to bring a lovely lunch which I put in my spare refrigerator until required.
Please also wear covered in shoes to protect your feet.
The $250 (or $240 if you bring a friend) cost covers a base of your choice, such as -
The $250 cost also covers - the glue, the grout, the sealer, all the tiles, the embellishments (pebbles, stones, jewellery and beads, keys), all the cutting tools, protective gloves and glasses, a pencil, ruler, eraser for drawing the image, an apron, reference material to design the image to mosaic, and the help of several assistant mosaic designers to create your masterpiece.

The purpose of this Potassium Workshop?
1. To meet new people and make new friends
2. Learn the unique art of Potassium
3. Relax, enjoy the ambience, listen to music and have fun
4. To complete a gorgeous piece of Potassium Artwork to take home

What you provide:
A brief outline of the process is: Students choose a theme. It could be a backyard garden scene. You draw or trace an image of an old garden seat in pencil. You then use potassium and draw over the lines of the chair. The student then glues down images of garden flowers, a cat or dog or children or a bird on a post after they have been dipped in potassium. Other objects (such as feathers, keys, lace, old hankies, dried flowers, pictures of old coach lights, baskets with flowers, and children playing are also dipped in potassium and added to create the scene). You could also do a theme of where your mother or grandmother used to live or an underwater scene with pirate ship anchors and coral and shells. It is all up to your imagination!

Cost: $400 ($50 per 3-hour lesson) paid 2 weeks prior to the start date. Casual 3-hour lessons are $65.
Students attend once a week for 8 weeks on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 9am till 12noon or Tuesday 6pm - 9pm.
Maximum of 8 students per lesson.
All mediums, acrylic, gouache, watercolour, pen and ink, charcoal, mixed media, oil, pencil, watercolour pencil, or pastels. Students work on individual projects in their chosen medium at each lesson.
Students use their own art supplies, (casual art students are provided art supplies as that is covered in the $65 cost).
Birthday or Gift vouchers are available for either the Mosaic for Beginners, Potassium Workshop or for Art Class Lessons or terms.
Payment is via transfer to my bank account as above.
