Have you ever wanted to try your hand at Mosaics or something new like Potassium Painting? Now is your chance! MOSAIC FOR BEGINNERS WORKSHOPDate - Saturday 22nd of April 2023Time - 9am until 4pmWhere - Art Classes Brisbane12 Paltarra Street, The Gap QLD 4061Cost - $250 or $240 each if you bring along a friend.(All art materials and base are provided in the cost)[BREAK]What is the purpose?1. To relax and enjoy other like-minded people's company2. Learn how to mosaic so you can mosaic your own projects at home3. Complete a beautiful mosaic art piece to take home4. To have a damn fabulous timeA yummy, healthy, morning and afternoon tea is provided in our beautiful tropical outdoor garden area. To meet new people and make new friends2. Learn the unique art of Potassium3. Relax, enjoy the ambience, listen to music and have fun4. To complete a gorgeous piece of Potassium Artwork to take home[BREAK]Materials provided in the cost:A piece of 300gsm watercolour paperPotassiumLemon Juice to strip back the Potassium in placesGlueGold, bronze or silver paintLaceGlue brushes, scissors, paint brushes, glitter, oil paint, and some texture paste[BREAK]What you provide:Photocopies (black and white or colour) of images that are relevant to your designPhotographs if you have themOld keys, shells, rocks, lace, dried flowers, lace hankies, old letters or notes, or any objects that you would like to incorporate in your painting[BREAK]A brief outline of the process is: Students choose a theme. It could be a backyard garden scene. You draw or trace an image of an old garden seat in pencil. You then use potassium and draw over the lines of the chair. The student then glues down images of garden flowers, a cat or dog or children or a bird on a post after they have been dipped in potassium. Other objects (such as feathers, keys, lace, old hankies, dried flowers, pictures of old coach lights, baskets with flowers, and children playing are also dipped in potassium and added to create the scene). You could also do a theme of where your mother or grandmother used to live or an underwater scene with pirate ship anchors and coral and shells. It is all up to your imagination![BREAK]To Enrol: pay the $100 into my account as per the instructions above for the Mosaic for Beginner Workshop. TERM 2 ART Duration: 8 week termStarts: Tuesday, 2nd of May, 2023Finishes: Thursday, 22nd of June, 2023Where: Art Classes Brisbane12 Paltarra Street, The Gap QLD 4061Cost: $400 ($50 per 3-hour lesson) paid 2 weeks prior to the start date. Casual 3-hour lessons are $65.[BREAK]Students attend once a week for 8 weeks on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday 9am till 12noon or Tuesday 6pm - 9pm.Maximum of 8 students per lesson. All mediums, acrylic, gouache, watercolour, pen and ink, charcoal, mixed media, oil, pencil, watercolour pencil, or pastels. Students work on individual projects in their chosen medium at each lesson.Students use their own art supplies, (casual art students are provided art supplies as that is covered in the $65 cost). Birthday or Gift vouchers are available for either the Mosaic for Beginners, Potassium Workshop or for Art Class Lessons or terms.Payment is via transfer to my bank account as above.
