Located approximately halfway between Melbourne and Bendigo, In the small town of
Woodend (which is part of the
Macedon Ranges Shire), you will find many little shops and places to visit.
One which I found on my recent visit to Woodend, which I would like to visit again should I ever be back in the area, is appropriately named
Mort & Pestle: The Kitchen Shop.

In Store
A lovely little store tucked away in a corner with plenty of parking spaces and a warm and welcoming feel,
Mort & Pestle catches your eye as you walk past. The lovely window displays offer a glimpse of what lies within, making you want to check out the specials inside. Overflowing with great products including pots, pans, utensils, novelty mugs, aprons, scarves, decorative dishes and greeting cards.
There were plenty of nifty little items to make me smile as well, including a bottle in a bag (still haven't figured out why one would need this, but it is a cute idea).
The store was bright and warm. Well laid out and everything was labelled and clean. The staff were friendly and awesome to chat with. It was awesome to be welcomed into the shop by such lovely ladies.
This shop is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Do pop in for a visit and a chat and pick up some bargains while you are there.
