Situated at the top (southern) end of the main stretch of Margaret River is Morries - a tapas and cocktail bar. When visiting their website, the creators of Morries say - "Morries is more of an institution rather than a restaurant. Created in 2012, and all focused around the book "Tuesdays with Morries" our goal in what we do is to provide incredible moreish snacks alongside creative cocktails in a vibe you won't forget within an atmosphere where you feel at home."

Their cocktail menu is 32 pages long - including non-alcoholic options - and their tapas menu, whilst not huge, does give you pause whilst you chose from all the deliciousness on offer.

I was lucky enough recently to dine at this establishment and both my partner and I agree - it was wonderful and delicious. We arrived without a booking on a very busy evening and were seated quickly - in chairs so comfy, we could almost have fallen asleep in them.[BREAK]

We had already decided what we were going to eat before arriving so our food and drink order was placed very quickly and our drinks arrived only moments later. Within 5 minutes, we had our first tapas - Caramalised Onion & Cheddar Croquettes with Mustard Mayo. Cutting these open the cheesy inside oozed out but those little pops were so tasty, you could easily have them without the mayo and they'd still be tasty as.[BREAK]

Our next tapas dish was the Pork Belly, Thai Caramel, Coriander & Sesame. The pork belly melted in our mouths, although it was a little annoying that little bits of caramel skin got stuck in our teeth.
Our final dish of the evening was the Braised Beef Cheeks, Sweet Potato & Coconut Puree with Potato Crisp - again, the meat melted in our mouths and had us licking our lips for every last taste.

High praise to the staff both in and out of the kitchen. Despite how busy the venue was (as was all of Margaret River at the time due to an event), we were in and out of there - bellies full of food and drink - within thirty minutes. We could easily have stayed longer and we did eye off the dessert menu, but neither of us could fit anything more in (we're not big eaters). Atmosphere, food, drink and staff - all 10/10
