There is a very special train ride not to miss out on, with the Easter Bunny on board, there are sure to be some magical moments.
Be apart of the fun and get down to the Moorooduc train station and ride the rails through Mt Eliza, where you will see paddocks with horses and gum trees. Wave at the cars as you cross Bungower Rd with a loud whistle, peep peep on to Tanti Station to pick up more passengers."All aboard the Easter Bunny train" then through to Mornington station.
At the station you can watch the engine as it's uncoupled and changes lines to reattach for the return journey. There is no need to return straight away, a mini bus at the Mornington station can take you into Main St. I recommend a visit to Schnapper Point Park.
If you can't ride on the Easter Bunny train, don't worry you can still ride the train.
Passenger services run on the first 3 Sundays of each month with the train departing from Moorooduc station at 11am, with the last service at 3pm departing Mornington station. The train runs several times throughout the day.
The amazing people who run, operate and maintain the trains are all volunteers. There are 70 in total, however like most clubs they always need more active volunteers. If you are interested there is more information here.
