The 2013 Mornington Peninsula Relay for Life event will be held overnight from 4pm Saturday 23rd to 10am Sunday 24th of March at Mornington Secondary College. Get dressed up, bring your tent and sleeping bag and take turns walking and running or even hopping, skipping and dancing around the track.

Relay for Life is the world's biggest overnight fundraising event. Founded in the US in 1985 in the US when Dr Gordy Klatt raised over $27,000 for his local cancer charity by running around an oval for 24 hours. It is now held in over 600 communities across 20 Countries. Relay For Life is now run in every Australian state and territory raising over $14 million each year for the Cancer Council.



The Volunteer Organising Committee of the Mornington Peninsula Relay for Life event are aims to surpass the milestones achieved in previous years. An estimated 200 survivors and carers are expected to walk the first lap with a total of 1,500 people expected to participate in the event. The organising committee is working hard to enlist 75 teams to achieve their current goal of raising $165,000.

Once registered you will receive your Relay For Life polo shirt. Team Captains will also receive a kit that includes all the information you will need to kick-start your fundraising and recruit others to your team while planning for 18 hours of fun.
