Great little op shop
Mornington Park Primary School Op Shop is a super cute little second-hand shop on Robertson Drive, Mornington, a hop, skip and jump away from the primary school.
I stumbled across this op shop by accident last week but I'm glad I did because they had a lot of great stuff for sale at cheap prices.
They had a lot of clothing available for women, men and children. There were some lovely pieces I saw for sale including dresses, blouses and skirts. The pricing for the clothing was reasonable and they were in good condition also.
Next, I had a peak in the children's section where they had lots of games, puzzles, books, and DVDs for sale. I purchased a $2 children's DVD and 2 novels for 50 cents each, which is an excellent price.
They had quite an impressive puzzle section for all ages and lots of crafty items including stuff for sewing. All these items were displayed neatly and it was easy to sort through what I wanted.
While shopping, I noticed a couple of kids in school uniform helping out around the store. Curious to know why, I decided to ask the volunteer who enlightened me to the fact that students help out weekly in the op shop by sorting donations, pricing, talking to customers and tidying. I was very impressed with this and thought it was a great idea for the children to learn these things at a young age.
I felt very welcome in the store and I was quite happy with the pricing as well. I will certainly shop in here again because the money earned at the op shop goes towards the primary school, which is great for the children.
