A stay at home Mum who doesn't stay at home much; too many exciting things to be discovering in this city...
Rainbows and Fundraising come together
Put some colour into your October by participating in the Mornington Colour Carnivale. This fun, family event is being held at The Briars in Mount Martha on Sunday 20th October and is guaranteed to be a fun and rainbow-filled day out for all.
Not only will you have a great time, but you can also get family and friends to sponsor you to help raise money for the Ruby-Rose Rainbow Fund. This charity was established when Ruby-Rose Ford, a local Mornington girl lost her battle with cancer at the age of 3 years old. Her family has joined with the Children's Cancer Foundation to raise funds in support of children with cancer.
The course is a 5km fun run with colour bombs, foam zones and fun obstacles to tackle. Children and adults of any age can enter and entry prices start from $30 for children, or $120 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. More details on pricing can be found here.
The fun run itself takes place between noon and 1pm with registrations opening at 9.30am. At the conclusion of the race, an after-party starts which includes a disco - hosted by DJ Brittany Leo - food trucks, colour fights and kids' carnival rides.
You can also check out the rest of The Briars estate which is home to abundant native flora and fauna. Register now to pay early bird prices and enjoy some good, clean (?) family fun at this worthwhile event.
