After the school was devastated by fire earlier this month, this year's Morningside State School fete is a little different. Amazingly, it is not only still on but promises to bigger and better than any we've seen before.

The Halloween-themed Fangastic Fete will be held to raise much-needed funds to replace the many resources lost in the deliberately-lit fire, alongside several classrooms and the school's music room.



The fete will be held at Balmoral High School, Saturday 27th October from 2pm - 8pm. There will be rides, games, entertainment, a haunted house, petting zoo, food trucks, a licensed bar and much more.

Unlimited ride passes are available online (select guest ordering, after selecting the school name 'Morningside State School') with discounts offered if purchased before 5pm Thursday.

The local community has been shocked by the senseless destruction of this beautiful old school and the support offered has been overwhelming. Consequently, the silent auction is almost an event in itself. A signed cricket bat by Brisbane Heat a night away at the Hilton, beauty and day spa treatments, a Tangalooma family day cruise, family photography, car tires, Story Bridge Adventure Climb, restaurant vouchers, Brisbane race tickets - are just a small number of the items available in the silent auction.
