Take a trip through the stars from a Mornington Peninsula location thanks to the Mornington Peninsula Astronomical Society. Public Viewing open nights are held monthly at The Briars in Mt Martha and everyone is welcome to attend.
Through a collection of private telescopes, interested members of the public are welcome to take a close up look at the moon and our closest neighbouring planets, along with some interesting stars and clusters, satellites and passing space station, with experts on hand to guide you while explaining what it is you're looking at.
The Public Viewing Nights are held regardless of the weather, so don't let the cold or cloud cover deter you. Bookings are absolutely essential as there are limited places available to ensure everyone has ample opportunity to look through the telescopes. Reserve your place or find out more by phoning 0419 253 252 or you can email email@example.com.
Entry is $10 per adult, $5 for children and $25 for families, payable at the gate.
