Tours depart from Manly Harbour Marina and you can enjoy a full day sailing across the waters of Moreton Bay on the 30m Tall Ship South Passage. Which direction it sails is weather dependent but it usually heads for the sand hills on Moreton Island or Horseshoe Bay on Peel Island.
The sailing is exhilarating and the wind in your face. With the ship at full tilt you are gripping the handrails and have the feeling of bygone sea-fearing days. On calmer days the sea is like glass and even more conducive to marine life spotting. Look out for dolphins, dugongs and sea turtles.
Pack a picnic lunch, refreshments and swimmers to enjoy a dip as it moors somewhere majestic in the bay for a lunch break.
The cruises are very popular and book out quickly. They also offer Twilight sailings and some longer voyages. Check out the Facebook and website for videos and postings of past and future trips
South Passage is Queensland's own Tall Ship designed and commissioned to train young people to undertake adventure under sail. They are almost totally reliant upon volunteers to crew their sails and to raise extra funds for day sails and longer voyages.
Day sails are from 10am to 4pm and the prices are:

Student (U18) $45
(2 Adults 2 Children)
