Imagine it's lunchtime. You're not only hungry, but you're watching your weight and your pennies too. Where do you go for something that's super-fast, ultra-healthy and yet kind on the wallet to boot?
Wedged between Wickham and Ann Streets, More Wholefoods ticks all these boxes. From fresh salads through to healthy wraps, sandwiches and juices, the emphasis is on food that's simple and free from additives, chemicals and other modern nasties. I stopped by recently, hankering for something clean and light, and found it in the form of tuna rice paper rolls. (Fillings of sesame chicken and tofu are also available.)

If that sweet tooth of yours demands satisfying, there are also a range of homemade cakes and biscuits, baked with fresh organic eggs, organic flour, and organic raw sugar. More Wholefoods' smoothies, too, come in a range of flavours and with plenty of health credentials: think green smoothies, cacao lover smoothies, and coconut ice crunch.
With such a wholesome and nourishing menu, it's perhaps no coincidence that More Wholefoods adjoins the Endeavour College of Natural Health. So you'll be sharing the delightful alfresco tables with other health-conscious people - acupuncture students, aspiring homeopaths, trainee masseurs and budding nutritionists - for some extra healthy vibes.

As you'd expect, those with special dietary requirements are well catered for here, with vegetarian, vegan, preservative-free, gluten- and dairy-free options all available. Prefer soy, rice or oat milk in your coffee? No problem.
If you're on the go, with no time to stop, pick up a snack to fuel you through the afternoon. Fresh fruit, chocolate and nut mixes, and superfood balls and bars all feature. And if you're keen to take some of this goodness home with you, visit the Endeavour Bookstore right next door, which has a cornucopia of healthy eating books and products on its shelves.
