The list of summer activities have started to grow, and you try to make the most of the warm weather before winter engulfs us again (personally I prefer winter). So how about a stroll along Mordialloc Pier? Located near Beach Rd, the pier boasts amazing views and is a perfect platform to witness the sunset; I was fortunate enough to catch the sunset displaying hues of purple.
If you feel the need to relax and cast your fishing rod, the pier is particularly known for its Yellow-eye mullet and Australian Salmon. You can even try Mordialloc Creek that runs along the pier.
To top of your walk along the pier / beach, you can try the cafes or restaurants along Main Street, which is a short minute walk from the pier. I would recommend
YOMG for an assortment of frozen yoghurt to satisfy your sweet tooth, and for a meal to tantalise,
The Bridge Hotel offers brilliant wood fire pizzas and a stellar view of the pier.
Nearby foreshore reserves offer parking, toilets, playground, picnic and barbeque facilities.
