Fresh menu meets fresh vibes
After a tiring five kilometre walk an Acai bowl at Mootch & Me really hit the spot. And, may I say, my brief visit here left me wanting so much more. This newly discovered cafe captivated me with its fresh vibe and enticing menu.
I made my selection from their all-day brekkie menu ($4-$18), which is always a good idea especially when it comes to weekend brunch. They have something for all breakfast palates - your classic bacon & egg roll, croissant & jam or 'Yoghurt Hit' for the sweet tooth, and for those who enjoy an assortment of traditional Mediterranean goodies (e.g. olives, pesto), the 'Santorini Board'.
I'm intrigued about the tasty combinations one may craft from their salad tray options (around $11), or their deli board selections ($14-24). This together with the list of gourmet sandwiches and rolls ($7-15) have got Mootch & Me prioritized on my dining bucket-list. Not going to lie, the Nutella Latte ($4.50) played the biggest part in winning me over.
Their Acai Bowl ($11.50) came served in a white, blue-rimmed bowl reminiscent of Mediteranean dining. It looked so neat, with rows of fresh banana slices, blueberries, granola, and coconut shavings side-by-side on the berry mixture. As much as I wanted to enjoy the aesthetics of this longer I had to mix it all through, with the combination of these flavours and textures making it more wonderful to eat.
The seating sprawls onto the outdoor footpath with yellow table sets and green pot-plants not only colouring up the place but adding to the fresh feels. You can soak up the funkiness of this contemporary cafe, its open-air courtyard, and the buzzing atmosphere of Bay Street. Spending longer here and treating my taste buds to more from Mootch & Me is definitely on the cards.
