The Moore River runs through the gorgeous wheat belt region of Western Australia. It can be found about 2 hours north of Perth and it runs through the town of Moora.
The Moore River acquired its name in 1836 when Corporal Patrick Heffron named it after his expedition leader, George Fletcher Moore. It has 9 sub-catchments and the salinity varies from brackish to saline.
This year, the
Inglewood Community Centre has organized a which will be accompanied by a live narration of the historical background of this area.
There will be some walking and climbing (off and on the boat), and lunch is not provided. It is recommended that you bring your own lunch, water, hat and sunblock. Don't forget to bring your camera.
