Moonta Bay foreshore is located at Moonta, one of the Copper Coast triangle’s towns, just under 2 hours from Adelaide. It is a picture-perfect and ideal place for a family day out with plenty of options to do.

The wide expanses of white sandy beaches are perfect for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking as well as beach games. Explore the tidal pools and look for blue swimmer crabs. The L-shaped Moonta Bay jetty is perfect for a walk or throwing in a line to see what is biting. A footpath is also available along the foreshore for walking or riding a scooter.

There is an enclosed playground adjacent to a FREE water park , that for sure will keep the young (and young at heart!) entertained for hours.

There is plenty of shelter for picnics, some with FREE electric BBQ. Otherwise, the grass area will invite you to a nice spot to sit down and enjoy the scenery. If you are not in the mood to prepare picnics, some takeaway options as well as coffee shops just across from the parking area.

Other facilities that can be found at the foreshore include FREE wi-fi (courtesy of SA Tourism), a drinking water fountain and a large carpark suitable for caravans. With public toilets just a stone’s throw away, this well-maintained foreshore area makes for the perfect pit stop on your Yorke Peninsula travels.
