Looking for a change from your local? How about trying out the Cider and Rum Bar in Manly.

Conveniently located on the second floor of The Steyne (you wouldn't believe how different the two floors are), its pirate theme makes it quirky, fun and stylish.

After catching the lift or taking the stairs to the second floor, you walk down a corridor, through some hanging ropes, and into the pirate hideout. You can choose to sit around a wooden barrel inside, out on deck or just hang around the bar.

As the name suggests, the bar only serves either cider or rum. It has 16 ciders on tap and over 100 different rums. If you want your rum with coke though, you are likely to get a horrified look from the friendly bar staff who explain that all the rums are great…without coke!



The bar is open from Thursday to Sunday and has live music on Thursday nights from 9pm and Sunday nights from 5pm.

It's a great place to spend an evening – make sure you arrive before 8pm though if you want a seat on a Saturday night – it gets busy.
