Time to appreciate Adelaide's best under the moonlight
The Moonlight Markets are on again this summer at Thorndon Park at Paradise. Proudly presented by the Campbelltown City Council, these markets are now entering their fourth year with a record number of stalls and visitors expected.
The Moonlight Markets are held on the first Friday evening of November, December, February and March, and attracted in excess of 10,000 visitors per evening last summer. The markets are free to enter, and are open from 6pm to 10pm on each of the Friday evenings.
Highlights anticipated for the upcoming season include a visit from Father Christmas with his elves and fairies, live performances from a variety of local talent including music and dance, roaming Christmas carols, and a record number of stalls and food outlets participating. The Moonlight Markets also operate with a key objective of supporting the local Food Trail businesses, another initiative from the Campbelltown City Council.
Since commencing in 2011 the markets have steadily grown in popularity and there are now over 100 stalls selling fashion, kidswear, jewellery, homewares, art and craft as well as the food outlets.
Live entertainment, the large playground, and the Thorndon Park Reserve with its birdlife ensures a fun filled evening for all ages. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic rug or chairs and settle down for a stunning sunset over the lake while listening to the music and enjoying quality authentic wine and local food products.
