Part of the Fulham Shopping Centre along Tapleys Hill Road, offers dumplings and Taiwanese inspired dishes. Service was very efficient with our dishes not taking long to arrive after we had placed our order.

The grilled oyster mushrooms in the Dark Side of the Shroom still retained a bit of bite and had a delectable earthy taste. Much of the flavour of the dish came from the soybean paste that the soy mince and tofu were cooked in, with the steamed rice acting as a great foil. Freshness was provided by sweet potato mash and steamed greens which retained a bit of bite.

For those who prefer noodles, there is the String Theory. The handmade noodles were cooked al dente and the fresh greens provided extra texture. The peanut sesame sauce imparted a delectable nutty flavour, which was at its best tossed through the noodles. However, we thought the dish could do with a bit more sauce. For the dumplings to accompany the noodles, we went with pork filling which was quite juicy.

One of the smaller dishes on the menu, their Crunchy Cauliflower Balls were cooked just right, with the crumb coating contrasting nicely with the cauliflower. A chilli mayonnaise was drizzled over them for a bit of spice. Some fresh greens were served with the dish to provide freshness.

Compared to the sauce used in the String Theory, the sauce in the Pigs in Space had a more liquid consistency and a savoury taste. The slow-cooked pork belly and tea-fused boiled egg were cooked perfectly, and steamed vegetables provided extra texture. A hint of sharpness was provided by the inclusion of pickled vegetables.

Their Bao Buns were of a good size and had the fluffy texture you would expect from a good bao. The Tapioca Crispy Chicken that we chose for the filling had succulent flesh contrasting wonderfully with the crispy tapioca flour coating. The honey soy sauce complemented the chicken nicely. Take a bit of care when eating this dish as it can get a bit messy.

For a Bao Bun that is not as messy, there is the Crispy Beef Bao Bun. The pieces of beef were not tough and the garlic butter soy sauce imparted a garlicky taste that was not overpowering. All their bao buns included fresh greens along with your chosen filling for freshness and a bit of crispiness.

Aside from pork, another variety of dumplings that can be ordered is Chicken and Corn Dumplings. The filling was as juicy as the pork dumplings and the addition of corn provided some crunch. The skin of the dumplings however was a bit thick. In addition to the soy and vinegar dipping sauce that came with the dish, chilli sauce was also available. Be careful not to be too heavy-handed with the chilli sauce as it packs a potent spicy punch.

The serving of Taro Hash Browns was generous. They had a slightly chewy texture and was set off nicely by the crisp coating. The Taiwanese sauce that was spooned over them added a delectable savoury flavour with a hint of sweetness. Additional sauce was provided on the side for dipping.

This place primarily caters for takeaway but a few seats are available for dine-in customers. If they desire, customers can purchase the homemade peanut sesame sauce that is used in some of the restaurant's dishes.
