Summer on the Sunshine Coast is all about balmy, outdoorsy days, usually spent in close proximity to water, ensuring one can take quick cooling-off dips, frequently. With the oppressive heat that we've been experiencing with the start to summer, the best time to be on the beach would be early evening to enjoy the breezes coming off the ocean, to bid farewell to the sun dipping beyond the horizon and … to catch a movie … on the sand! I love the idea of toes in the sand, whilst stars twinkle overhead in the night sky.

Sunshine Coast Council and Mooloolaba Chamber of Commerce are once again proudly hosting family friendly movies on the beach, near the well-known Loo with a View location, in Mooloolaba.

With ten different, gold coin donation, movie dates for , promising some pretty spectacular movies, why not get there early, grab a bite to eat from one of the local cafe's or restaurants along the Esplanade and settle in on the sand for a night at the movies!

** & #127916 ; Johnny English Strikes Again | PG
Saturday 4 January | 6.00pm to 8.00pm**

I've never seen Johnny English Strikes Again , but I certainly can vouch for Rowan Atkinson from his Mr Bean days - I've always loved his nutty humour and total craziness and certainly cannot imagine him as an undercover James Bond type.

A cyber-attack reveals the identities of all active undercover agents in England and Johnny English (aka Mr Bean) is the secret service's last hope. Johnny English is called out of retirement to dive headfirst into action, with the mission to find the mastermind hacker. Johnny English Strikes Again's genre is action comedy and is the third movie in the Johnny English series.

The story is about a twister uprooting a Kansas farm girl and her little dog and dropping them over the rainbow, smack bang in the middle of a candy-coloured fantasy land, populated with witches, wizards and munchkins.

I'm not sure if this particular Wizard of Oz is a remake or an 'original' but no matter, movie fans will have the opportunity to go off to seek the truth behind the wonderful Wizard of Oz!
