Deck the hulls with boughs of holly, a magical evening awaits



The next magical Christmas must-do event to be bookmarked on everyone’s festive calendar this year has to be the Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade. Proudly presented by the Mooloolaba Yacht Club and Mooloolaba Marina Sunshine Coast, the Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade is a Christmas lights display with a scintillating difference. Watercraft of every shape and size will all be decked out in their Christmas finery, in readiness for the Christmas Boat Parade.



The Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade is a FREE spectator event. For those who prefer to participate from the sidelines (or in this case, waterlines), invite your family and friends to join you and grab a great vantage spot along the canals.

To enter your boat - private or commercial - in the Best Dressed Competition, please follow this link. Registration for this event closes on Saturday 14 December at 12.00noon.

Please note that the Course is subject to change.


The Boat Parade will commence at 7.00pm and go anti-clockwise from Penny Lane, Mooloolaba to the end of Mooloolah Island, then down the main Kawana canal to Lawries Marina, back to the river, along past La Balsa Park and then back to Penny Lane, Mooloolaba via the Coast Guard for judging. The other awesome alternative is to head into The Wharf in Mooloolaba (parking not guaranteed), to experience the festive atmosphere with a Roving Santa and his cheeky elves, snow globe workshops, face painting, live music in the courtyard and multiple delicious dining options! Why not book a table for dinner at either See Restaurant or Dock at the Wharf , both restaurants providing delightful front-row seats to all the exciting water activities.
