If you want to find out the true meaning of Easter, one of the great ways to do so is to attend the Moogerah Passion Play.
The magnificent play is set against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Moogerah, and consists of 100 actors, technicians, backstage and frontstage helpers from all walks of life. This 'labour of love' has been in operation since 1993, and is still going strong. Now in its 20th year, the play is set to be just as popular as ever. With performances on both Good Friday and Easter Saturday, the play has special significance, as it portrays the true meaning of Easter in a way that can be enjoyed by all people from all backgrounds.
The play goes for three hours, with an interval in between. There will also be food and drink available for purchase. Gates open at 4pm, and there is plenty of parking and space for audience members, with a large open-air amphitheatre. This event is quite popular, with the first play for the year drawing crowds of up to 800 people.
