Frozen yoghurt (or fro-yo) paradise has just made its debut on the east side. Moochi has now staked its claim near the Harbour Room area at Westfield Bondi Junction. The exact day they stamped their name on Bondi was Thursday the 15th of November.
Waiting in line for some simple frozen yoghurt paradise
In comparison to some of their other frozen yoghurt bars, this store is rather small and more chic like. From personal experience thus far, any time you come here you're served rather quickly. Moochi has just snuck in before one of their competitors opens near Woolworths in the same complex.
When you come here, it is advisable to look at the toppings prior to approaching the front counter. On my recent visit here, upon doing things in reverse as suggested, I originally went for some lychee topping. Very quickly (after placing my order) I changed my topping selection to blueberry. The moist lychee topping was still fresh, however the fresh blueberries looked delicious, and naturally they would have to blend in nicely with the watermelon frozen yoghurt I chose on my last visit to this little bar of paradise.
Opting for the mini (great hangover cure) watermelon frozen yoghurt with blueberry topping (just one topping selection, $3.40 in total) was a decision well made. Although the watermelon flavour was a little sweet, the taste was refreshing, icy and rather sensational. A mini size just hit the spot. At least you can take heart that Moochi's frozen yoghurt is apparently gluten free, high in calcium and low in fat. Their frozen yoghurt also make a great source of getting your probiotics in on a daily basis, and also contains active cultures, hence good bacteria that our bodies need.
The ordering process is rather simple, and again you state your name. I just laughed when my first name was misspelt on the sticker attached to my yoghurt tub. It doesn't matter. The minis get devoured in 10 minutes or less, and then you feel good for indulging in a healthy, guilt free treat, regardless of the weather at the time.
Then you need to choose your size: mini (3 oz), regular (8 oz), big (12 oz), and massive (32 oz). Toppings are available for an extra 50 cents per topping chosen. Be prepared for backups as some of the toppings are not available, especially as this particular Moochi frozen yoghurt bar is a really small bar. The fresh cut fruit selections include kiwifruit, strawberries, blueberries and lychee pieces to name. The dry toppings include Oreo cookie pieces, mini M&M's and gummi bears. The sauce toppings include chocolate and honey. It is up to your imagination.

Again, quick service. This store is also more likely to hand you a loyalty card that you can use at any Moochi frozen yoghurt bar. For every eight frozen yoghurt desserts (of any size), you receive a free regular frozen yoghurt of your choice with one free topping choice. Or if you prefer your caffeine hit, you can opt for a small coffee instead. It really is a no brainer. Their mini frozen yoghurts fill the spot, and so do their regular servings. Agreed, the frozen yoghurt revolution in Sydney is well and truly alive at the moment.
