Don't have a cow. Eat one! That's right, I'm talking beef. Beef burgers!
If you're a burger lover like me, finding a great burger joint can bring copious amounts of joy. There are many burger places all over Sydney, some that get you drooling, others that leave you feeling empty, literally. So when I stumbled across Moo Gourmet Burgers in Newtown, I felt obligated to all you burger lovers out there, to share my burger experience. Moo burgers will heighten your senses and get your taste buds auditioning for an episode of 'So You Think You Can Dance.'
Now when I say heighten your senses, I'm talking more than just taste. These burgers are big! In order to fit the burger in your field of vision, you need to take a step back folks. Then there's the enjoyable task of trying to fit it in your mouth. I ordered the 'Beef Avocado and Bacon Burger' and despite its size, I managed to eat the entire burger without using a knife and fork, a proud moment for any burger connoisseur! However, they do provide cutlery if necessary, which forgivingly, many people used.
Moo has a large range of beef burgers, made from 100% Angus beef, and there is also a selection of chicken and vegetarian burgers to choose from on the menu. Side dishes include chips, onion rings and salads, and there is a big selection of delicious milkshakes including 'Mad Cow' made from Oreo biscuits and 'Mooteaser' made from malteasers. They even have spiders! Not the crawly ones, the cola and ice-cream ones. Beer, wine and cocktails are also available to wash down that burger goodness. Also, if you plan to take your children along for the burger adventure, a 'Little Cow" menu for kids under 12 is available and drawing paper to keep them occupied.
Appropriate to Newtown culture, Moo burgers have a funky little set-up. There are couches to lounge on and a psychedelic coloured cow painted on the wall to stare at. There is also a beer garden located at the back to chill in.
So if you're in the mood for a burger experience, I highly recommend you take a stroll down King Street and eat a Moo. You won't be disappointed!
