You will get 100% satisfaction here. I'd say Moo Gourmet Burgers is the best burger joint in Sydney. It is slightly pricey compared to McDonalds, Hungry Jacks, Oporto, Burgerlicious and Grill'D, but you will get premium top-notch burgers here.
We were hesitant to fork out $20 - $25 for a burger meal at first; but the gourmet towering burgers, cheesy fries and traditional milk shakes totally convinced us that it was worth it.
Look at this magnificent Chorizo Specialty Burgers ($16.50), mighty stacked with 100% Australian Angus Pure Natural Beef & Chorizo Patty, thick cut mozzarella , rocket, tomato, home-made mayonnaise and tomato relish.
It was all skewered in for support. Super messy to eat but this tower of hearty goodness was so good we have to give it a thumbs up.
The place is charmingly decorated in old-fashioned style with wide wooden tables and stools. There are a lot of cow-themed decorations scattered around the place and they make this place very homely.
Moo is famous for their dessert-like milkshakes that excite the kids and the adults. Be ready for some sweet sugar hits.
To start off the evening, we ordered a Just Nuts Moo Shakes ($7.95) (L) and a Cow in Mud cocktail ($12)(R).
They were literally chocolate desserts in liquid form. The milkshake contained a Snickers Bar, crushed nuts, caramel and chocolate syrup; while the cocktail contained Frangelico, Baileys, vanilla ice cream, Tim Tam biscuit, chocolate syrup and milk. Both were awesome, delicious and sweet...
We've ordered the Cheesy Bacon Chips ($9.50) because it was highly recommended. I have to say this has got to be one of the best fries in Sydney.
It was served in an impressive Basket cone, filled with chunky home-style chips topped with melted Egmont cheese and free range bacon pieces.
Every single fry was translucent golden, crunchy and seasoned well with the oh-so-moreish melted cheese and bacon slices.
It was so morishly delicious and we couldn't stop munching on them. Moo is licenced to serve beer and other alcoholic drinks.
Perfect for a cool Summer evening.
We were exceedingly pleased with the Wagyu Beef Burgers ($16.50). It consisted of a large, thick 100% Northern Tablelands Wagyu Beef patty, topped with Tasmanian Brie, caramelised onions, tomato, mixed leaf lettuce and home made mayonnaise.
We loved the luscious juiciness of Wagyu beef patty. It was flavorsome and juicy. This is what a burger should be about. But that was not the highlight of this burger.
It's what goes around the patty that contributes to becoming a great burger. The main star was that thick chunk of Tasminia Brie oozing down the side.
Moo burger did not just scatter some shredded/thinly cheese slices, we were served with a thick cut creamy brie. The burger tasted so good, we have to give it two thumbs up.
Both burgers looked impressive with all the fresh ingredients that can be barely held together inside a sourdough bun.
The chorizo was not very spicy and it went so very nicely with the fresh rocket and tomato relish.
Both burgers delivered satisfaction in every single bite. We can't wait to try the rest of the burger selections. We will need to book in for extra gym sessions first.
Avoid this place if you are on a diet resolution, cos it will fly out of the window.
