Interactive Monty Python film screening for Oxfam
Monty Python - I am indeed a lover of this black humoured clever group of people, who have sadly ceased to write new work.
Who can forget the great Parrot Skit, Ministry for Silly Walks, The Lumberjack Song, The Piranha Brothers, The Restaurant Sketch, The Upper Class Twit of the Year, and the Argument Clinic - I can watch them over and over.
Now is your chance to see one of their best films on the large screen on 12th May 2018 at the Grand Cinemas, 636 Beach Road in Warwick, and this will be a Monty Python and the Holy Grail "Interactive Movie Screening", making it just that much extra fun.
With such phrases as "what is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?", Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a cult classic, and this will be an evening of silly swordplay, shrubbery obsessed knights, cheeky Frenchmen, and much wedding violence.
If you're one of those people who loves to shout "Ni!", and/or laugh till you cry at this movie, then this screening is for you. If you are not one such person, then come along anyway as in this day and age, it is a pleasant change to watch something that can at least bring a smile to your face.
It is being screened as a fundraising event for Oxfam Australia, as part of the Oxfam Trailwalk 2018. Tickets are $25 (plus booking fee) which includes a little "goodie" bag filled with "props and prompts" to play along with this interactive movie.
There will also be some fun before the film starts with photo opportunities and roaming characters, so make sure you get your tickets quickly, as this type of screenings can sell out within a few days.
The pre-show areas will be open from 7.30 pm, with entry into the cinema at around 8.15 pm, and the screening will begin at approximately 8.30 pm.
Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and snacks will be available to buy from Grand Cinemas at discounted prices.
Get your sword-waving arms ready, but watch they don't get sliced as part of the action!
Atencion silly actor peoples. Can anyone 'elp mon amie wiz zis request? Do you want to win a double pass to this event? All you have to do is "like" this page, and share this event with #2legit2quit2018 and you could be a winner. This competition will be drawn in early May.
This fundraising event is presented to you by Too Legit to Quit – a team undertaking the 100km Oxfam Trailwalker this year. All proceeds will go to Oxfam Australia.
As this is a fundraising event, tickets are Ni!-refundable, and you can get your tickets from this website.
