This lovely town centre is a hub a buzz with family activity. It has this wonderful feel of old world charm meets modern day niceties.

I stopped in after school one day and the main street, "Were Street", is "where" you should be. It was filled with kids and parents just having happy times. The street is lined with lovely mosaic seats and they were overflowing with people of all ages having lovely chats, such as Dad and Daughter.

Bowls of water were out for the puppies on leads. Prams were parked at side walk cafes with mums sharing a smooth cuppa and a chin wag.

Indoor Outdoor Burger Bar Wine Bar Beer Bar
Grape and Hop and Max's Burgers for indoor/outdoor dining

At the top end of the street, there was a fab indoor outdoor wine bar and burger house. It certainly smelled yumm on my tumm from the outside.

One cafe had a lovely indoor/outdoor area that seemed setup just for families. You could hear happy voices and see kids little heads popping up over the white picket fence. I snapped a photo and the little boy was so excited he asked if was he going to be in a magazine and I said, "Yes - Weekend Notes". He whooped with laughter.

I need to go back and review them all I feel.I just wanted to go inside and absorb the atmosphere through my pores. I definitely did not leave enough time for this trip.

And everything you have ever need in a shopping centre is along this quaint street, including the local grocer, organic food store, cafes, post office, tatts/newsagent, hair and beauty, bake shops, $2 shop, gourmet butcher, nic nac shops, plumbing needs and much more. All these 'wares" packed beautifully in Were Street. You must have a sticky beak at the website for a list of all the shops.

And then to put the pecan icing on the carrot cake, there is a cool park right in the middle underneath the lovely trees where kids can skate board or just run and play.

I love those mosaic seatds, particularly the one that looked like a rug draped over a couch.
