While the windmill whirls, dance to Stevie and the Sleepers
I stopped in after school one day and the main street, "Were Street", is "where" you should be. It was filled with kids and parents just having happy times. The street is lined with lovely mosaic seats and they were overflowing with people of all ages having lovely chats, such as Dad and Daughter.

One cafe had a lovely indoor/outdoor area that seemed setup just for families. You could hear happy voices and see kids little heads popping up over the white picket fence. I snapped a photo and the little boy was so excited he asked if was he going to be in a magazine and I said, "Yes - Weekend Notes". He whooped with laughter.
I need to go back and review them all I feel.I just wanted to go inside and absorb the atmosphere through my pores. I definitely did not leave enough time for this trip.
And everything you have ever need in a shopping centre is along this quaint street, including the local grocer, organic food store, cafes, post office, tatts/newsagent, hair and beauty, bake shops, $2 shop, gourmet butcher, nic nac shops, plumbing needs and much more. All these 'wares" packed beautifully in Were Street. You must have a sticky beak at the website for a list of all the shops.
This park is the place to be for FREE Concerts every first Saturday of the Month
And it gets even better as the local shops put on LIVE FREE concerts every first SATURDAY of the month from 11 am to 1 pm. This month it is Stevie and the Sleepers playing blues and soul with a strain of Blues Heartbreak.
