We stumbled across the
Montrose Community Playground by chance on Good Friday, after completing a walk in the Dandenong Ranges.
What a find! This park is an absolute child's wonderland, built entirely by volunteers in the local area. What an achievement for the hard work everyone involved put in. This park will be popular for many years to come with locals and visitors alike.
I would rate this park as
my number one pick for variety of play equipment and it caters extremely well for all age groups. It was hard to coax my children back into the car. "mum can we come back again tomorrow and can I have my birthday here?"
Unfortunately, well for me anyway, this park is about 1 hour and 20 minutes from home.
The play equipment conisits of many swings, slides climbing frames, pretend shops, board walks, climbing nets, merry go round swings ( which were a favourite) net swings and so much more.
Facilities include car parking, toilets, water fountains and BBQ's.
The park adjoins a football field and other recreation fields.
This is a great park that will not disappoint.
