Montezuma's has Mexican restaurants in NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria, and the Crows Nest establishment is a reliable venue if you're looking for a good meal. The philosophy at Montezuma's is all about fresh, authentic Mexican food cooked with locally-grown produce.
The menu features all the usual favourites you'd expect from a Mexican joint. Start off with the hot sauce dip and you'll get the evening off to a good start.
Servings at Montezuma's are always pretty generous, but if you're feeling particularly peckish, go for one of the combination meals. My two favourites are the Santa Fe - beef taco, bean taco, chicken tostada - and the Durango, which comes with a chicken and sour cream enchilada, beef enchilada, beans and rice.
The other staple of any good Mexican meal is a glass or two of sangria, which at Montezuma's always goes down pretty easily. One of their icy margaritas is also pretty refreshing on a hot summer's day.
If there's one word to describe the decor at Montezuma's it's "colourful". There's plenty of sombreros and other trinkets hanging from the ceiling, and the whole atmosphere is cheerful and relaxing.
