In the city of Salisbury is a very special place called Montague Farm Estate . The estate is specially dedicated to those who served in the Vietnam War. The streets in the estate are named in honour of those from South Australia who were killed in action during the Vietnam War between 1962 and 1973. Of the 521 Australian servicemen killed in the war, 59 of them were from South Australia. Their names, title and the date they were killed are on the street signs.

In the estate is a square called Henderson Square which is also dedicated to the veterans. It is a beautiful shady park with chairs to sit, remember and reflect. In the square is a grey boulder with a plaque that also has the names of those killed engraved on it. Every year on Vietnam Veterans Day, a service is held here.

On Henderson Street is a big playground for children. There are also picnic tables and chairs in the big grass area. Not far is also the estate's wetlands. There are easy walking and cycling trails along the wetlands.

Walking around the area, you can smell the aroma of baked bread from their local bakery called "Bakers Boy" which is very popular with the locals.

Should you be in the area of Pooraka, drop by to see this special place. It is located on Montague Road.
