Hear them rumble, see them roll, feel them thunder and cheer when they jump. That's right, Jammers the Monster Jam is back, bigger and badder than ever before. Revving their engines for one day only at AAMI Park - this is the most moto-taining experience on the planet.
Organisers are promising the ultimate motoring showdown in an event they're calling the Race of Champions. The Monster Jammers are hitting the dirt in a race to end all races, all vying for the title of fastest of them all.
You don't have to be a rev head to enjoy this family friendly, high octane show. There is something mesmerising about these over-sized trucks with their enormous wheels flying through the air. The way they bounce and roll and leap is just incredible. The drivers must have nerves of steel.
The show is set over a dirt track filled with various sized jumps, looking like something off my living room floor brought to life. My kids really love these trucks and the Monster Jam is almost an exact replica of how their trucks get thrown around.
The Monster Jam is an international event with a fleet of colourfully painted cars who each possess their own character. The trucks have names such as Blue Thunder, Dragon, Megalodon, Earth shaker, Grave Digger and even Wonder Woman. Profiles of each truck and their driver is featured on the Monster Jam website so you can get to know the cast before you even arrive.
There are three ticket types starting with the VIP Pit Party. This event roars to life at 9.15am and gives ticket holders an all access pass. This is perfect if you want to get a close up look at the trucks and meet their drivers. As part of this special package ticket holders will receive a souvenir pack including a Monster Jam calendar, poster and VIP lanyard as well as entry to the show.
The second option is a Party in the Pits ticket. With this ticket you will have entry to the pits from 10am to 1pm then entry to the show at 2pm.
Finally, simply come along and see the show. The main event commences at 2pm, then again st 7pm. Tickets range from $24 through to $122 for premium lounge seating and additional fees apply.
