This looks much more fun than sewing buttons back on shirts
If you are looking to sample a new experience or try your hand at a different creative outlet, then this may appeal - a Monoprint Workshop on Saturday, 28th of March. This workshop will have you creating a placement print on fabric which is certainly new to me.

Anita Mangakahia has a Bachelor of Visual/Fine Arts, majoring in printmaking. Her works have been exhibited in Brisbane and Toowoomba. This is just one of many initiatives delivered by the Redland Yurara Art Society whose purpose 'is to give encouragement to practicing artists and to awaken public interest in the arts generally'.

The Yurara Art Gallery is located at Pinklands Reserve, Cnr Dinwoodie and Cleveland-Redland Bay Rds, Thornlands. For more information go here.

The Monoprint Workshop includes all materials. It starts at 9:30am with an anticipated finish time of 3:30pm. Morning tea is also provided but please BYO lunch.

The cost of the workshop is $95-00 or $75-00 for Society Members. Enroll by contacting Workshop Convenor Danielle Bain, on 0417 239 911 or by emailing daniellebain@ozemail.com.au.
