Your child's natural performance skills will be honed
My munchkin at the door of Monkey Baa
This marvellous show is coming!

I took my daughter to Monkey Baa Theatre last weekend, and she made herself comfortable on a beanbag in the modern theatre after selecting a book for the marvellous storyteller to read. Soon, other children joined her, and they sat entranced for thirty minutes while modern classics were read with pizazz. Afterward, they were offered a place at the craft table to decorate snowflakes to take home. This free activity is a part of Darling Harbour's Cool Yule Festival, and will be on each Sunday until the 13th July.

Beautiful Storyteller in a Winter Wonderland
Stories to tell and craft to do

Monkey Baa is Australia's widest-reaching touring company, having engaged with over 900 000 young people over the past 15 years. In 2012, they moved into their hew home, the Lend Lease Darling Quarter Theatre. It is a purpose-built theatre, dedicated to working with and engaging young people.

In the school holidays, Monkey Baa regularly hold holiday drama workshops. These winter holidays, they are on from 30th June until 4th July, at either 10am or 12.30 pm for $15 a child. There will be a backstage tour of the theatre, and then the kids will learn the art of storytelling through drama. You can hang out in the foyer, or take yourself off for a cuppa whilst the kids hone their dramatic skills.

The next production to be staged is Mem Fox's beloved The Magic Hat" a tale about a magical hat that is retold through shadow puppetry, song, rhythm and movement.

For a marvellous day out, book into the Monkey Baa Theatre with the kids.
