A cool and quirky retro-styled bar on the Honeysuckle waterfront MoneyPenny is a great place to chill with your friends for a couple of hours.

The cocktail selection changes regularly and I enjoyed my raspberry based martini concoction whilst watching the Hunter River traffic. There is a range of beers on offer on tap as well as bottles. A large selection of wines by the glass and bottle feature popular Hunte Valley wines and of course, they offer soft drinks, juices and coffee.

As can be seen in the menu the food is designed for sharing and is not categorised into entree, main, dessert. The food is delicious and there are blackboard specials that take advantage of fresh local produce. The arancini were tasty and at 6 for $16, were great value. The crisp pano crumbs surrounded a soft creamy filling of porcini mushrooms and feta cheese.

The yummy hoisin duck Bao were 2 for $15, the soft light bun was wrapped around a sweet, crunchy, salty pieces of duck, wasabi mayo, lettuce and cucumber. To finish off, we shared a prosciutto pizza, it was 25cm thin based, crunchy and savoury and went very well with the drinks and the views.

There are vegetarian items on the menu and some dishes can be made gluten-free. You order and pay at the bar and the food is brought to your table. The staff are friendly and love working in such a great location.

Call in for a drink, share a plate, relax and repeat!
