A fantastic night of cinema

On Monday the 24th of May 2021, they will be holding a Boon Joon-Ho double feature of Memories of Murder & Parasite at the incredibly low price of $15 per person, plus there will be delicious Kahlua Cold Brews and White Russians available for $10 each on the night, during the interval.

About the films:
This film tells the harrowing true story of the hunt for a sadistic serial rapist and murderer terrorizing a small province in 1980s South Korea. Marking the first of many successful collaborations between four-time Oscar winner Bong Joon Ho and leading man Song Kang Ho, the film follows the paths of three increasingly desperate detectives as they attempt to decipher the violent mind of a killer in a futile effort to solve the case. Now, seventeen years after its initial release, and a year after the real culprit was identified, this cult classic takes its place as a modern masterpiece.

PARASITE (MA 15+) 132'
Winner of a historic four Academy Awards® including Best Picture and Best Director, and the Palme d'Or (Best Film award) at the Cannes Film Festival – this family tragicomedy is the latest masterpiece from Bong Joon-Ho. PARASITE confirms his position as one of the world's most inventive and captivating filmmakers.

Ki-taek's family of four is close, but all are unemployed and the future looks bleak. However, when the son, Ki-woo is recommended by a fellow university student friend for a well-paid tutoring job, hope spawns for a regular income. Carrying the expectations of the family, Ki-woo arrives at the house of Mr Park, the owner of a global IT firm, where he meets Yeon-kyo, the young lady of the house. The job interview is a success and soon Ki-woo begins work. But very soon, following this first meeting between the two families, an unstoppable string of mishaps lies in wait.
