Celebrating Nepalese Style
Did you know that a momo is a Nepalese dumpling? If yes, then you will surely understand their appeal, and if not, then now is the time to find out.
For the 3rd year running, the Momo Fest is once again inviting you to come and feast on delicious Nepalese dumplings. These yummy parcels of many different ingredients will make any dumpling lover sing with joy!
Momos are the Nepalese version of dumplings made with minced meat or vegetables mixed with ground coriander, ginger, turmeric, cumin and chilli, wrapped inside a wrapper made of flour and bursting with flavour. There will be over 30 varieties of momos - ranging from buff momos (a popular favourite in Nepal), goat, lamb, beef, chicken, pork, and various vegetarian and vegan options. That's a lot of dumplings to get through and the wide variety ensures that everyone walks away happy and satisfied.
But there is more to this festival than just dumplings. In Nepal, momos are a symbol of connecting with family and friends and celebrating those connections. So to celebrate these connections, there is live entertainment in the form of local bands and DJs, roving performers, kids performances, workshops and momo competitions, ensuring you have a good time as well as a good fill of dumplings.
