You have just over a month left to visit the current exhibition on loan from the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Whilst some reviews have been lacklustre and almost scathing due to the inclusion of many artists of varying styles, it is none the less an all-encompassing collection of many pieces you may well know.

Artists include Picasso, Gauguin, Cezanne, van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec and Matisse and many others ranging in style and years of creation.

We are fortunate that we can view these masterpieces in our own city and get up close without the crowds that persist in galleries overseas.

'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and I feel this is the case when it comes to art. Many pieces to me are obvious with talent, my perception of talent shining through, other pieces are not so easy to understand. This adds to the joy and wonderment of such an exhibition.

You do not have to be an art enthusiast to find something to your taste I am sure. I thoroughly enjoyed the ode to the 80s with a hands-on Pacman display.

Take the time and treat yourself to a few hours of interesting, if not in some cases riveting art. Find out more at
