Currently in the middle of a highly successful national tour,
Mojo Juju is returning to Melbourne to showcase her smooth and sultry tones at
Kew Court House at
8.00pm on Friday 11th September.
Mojo Juju has been on the road performing songs from her new album
Seeing Red/ Feeling Blue. This latest album carries on in the only way she knows how - differently!
She has performed at the Sydney Opera House for
Vivid Live and the
Darwin Festival , receiving consistent praise for her shows.
Teaming up with longtime friend and producer Ptero Stylus (Diafrix/Mantra), the album takes on an electronic element, while throwing up a funky pop sound with a twist.
Elements of RnB, soul and blues are prevalent throughout the album, with Mojo Juju's voice strong and commanding, sometimes crooning, other times almost rapping with the beat, slipping between the two with complete ease – the songs are melodic and poppy with old school nostalgia.
The Age has previously described Mojo Juju as: "A complex artist equally adept at channelling Tom Waits or Madonna. Juju brings all these elements together for a seamless pop experience that is as intelligent as it is playful."
