Mojee is a Korean restaurant in Strathfield located a very short stroll from Strathfield Station. The restaurant is accessible via a narrow staircase which leads to an open space on the second level. The seating space for customers is rather small and in peak times, it may get quite crowded because of the shop's capacity.

As many people know, Strathfield has become the hub for great Korean restaurants, especially popular Korean BBQ spots. As a celebratory gathering, my friends and I visited this joint for the first time upon remembering great recommendations from several friends and craving a Bibimbap (which is a hot stone pot served with a choice of meat and various vegetables)

As per the tradition of Korean restaurants, we were quickly served various side dishes. However, most of these side dishes were salad vegetables and lacked the variety of other Korean restaurants which often have bean curd and tofu cubes. The side dishes mostly included brussel sprouts, tossed lettuce and cucumber, kimchi, and pickled radishes. As it was a relatively affordable and cheap establishment with few staff, we were instructed to get our own water on their self-service table.

After quickly perusing the menu, I settled on the Bulgogi Bibimbap (which was $13). My friend opted for the Famous Mojee Potato Noodles with meat and vegetables whilst my other friend chose Kimchi Fried Rice with fried egg. All 3 of our dishes came very quickly which impressed me at first.

However, I was utterly disappointed by my Bulgogi Bibimbap as it was firstly not served in a stone pot and was not hot, therefore making it difficult to cook some of those vegetables such as mushrooms. The bulgogi was cooked nicely, however, and was the saving element of my dish.

My friend's famous Mojee potato noodles came next and it was a very generous serving like my own. I tried a little bit of my friend's noodles which were very authentic in its potato flavour as opposed to many previous establishments that I have tried.

The Kimchi Fried rice was not as spicy as I expected and was quite flavoursome.

I would like to return in the near future to try something other than the Bibimbap which I found to be a surprising disappointment.
