New Japanese Facial Techniques
For Christmas last year I was given, along with my Mum, a voucher for a facial at Moisteane Beauty Salon. It was from LivingSocial and promised a one hour massage using new Japanese facial techniques, a Lamino Pro Facial.
Firstly I will say that if you are looking for a place to go to relax with a friend, this may not be the best place to go. With only one treatment room you wouldn't be able to both go at the same time.
My Mum went in for the first treatment, and even managed to get in about 15 minutes early. An hour later she came out looking relaxed and refreshed, with nothing but good things to say about her facial. Then it was my turn.
The first step of this facial was to actually wash one's own face twice - something I'm not used to with other facials - in order to remove all the dirt and grime. Then it was onto the bed for the actual facial.
I'm sorry to say but this new Japanese technique, which involves patting the different products onto the face and using a small machine was not for me. If the small machine, with a metal treatment base about the size of a 20 cent piece, was supposed to be doing something I didn't feel it. The patting technique left me feeling as though the facial wasn't been done correctly. I was also in the treatment room for less than an hour. I will say the addition of a back massage via a second machine was nice, although I couldn't feel the pad between my shoulder blades.
