This cafe is such an amazing local gem that I'd be reluctant to share its secret if I hadn't moved to Sydney! Let host Dom know that its your first time and you'll be treated to the audio menu. Baked eggs are arguably the signature dish for this quaint western suburbs noshery. Start off with the sugo which comes in a rich tomato sauce, or tackle the contadino featuring beans, prosciutto and italian sausage if you don't feel like eating until dinner!
Breakfast featuring Baked Eggs and Mushroom Rocket Frittata
The frittatas are not to be overlooked either. Try one of the delicious combinations (mushroom and rocket is my personal favourite) or invent your own. Once you fall in love and keep coming back you may be enticed to try other dishes such as the Modinetti morning (Dom's take on muesli; orange infused cous cous) on subsequent visits.
To top it all off, the staff are always welcoming and they can make a coffee worth remembering. My tip: leave the bill for your table open at the start as you'll find yourself wanting to stay for a second coffee to relish in the comforting atmosphere. Especially if you've ventured out the back to their courtyard setting. Truly a great experience and a staple for me on any trip back to Adelaide.
