Pizza, cookies and coffee in particular, are the flavour of the moment at Modena Pizza Espresso Bar at the Queen Victoria Building. I have not tried their cakes, so therefore I cannot comment on the quality of this type of food sold at this establishment. This establishment has a great variety for both locals and visitors to Sydney.

Firstly, they make way for tasty pizzas, ready to cook to the level that you would like them to be cooked regardless as to whether you like your pizzas soft or crunchy. Great flavours and they are quite generous with the toppings; however their pizzas are quite pricey at around $7 a pop. You might be better off going to any of the pizza shops in nearby Park Street with a similar serving for around half the price.

Secondly, this establishment are great providers of the daily grind. I love their lattes with just one sugar, and their staff provide fast and friendly service. Furthermore, their cookies were once my saving grace on the way to the office most mornings before becoming a freelance writer; especially the white chocolate chunk and macadamia nut ones.

Friendly staff with a well presented cafe and excellent food and coffee. Modena is an establishment one will want to keep coming back to for more and more.
