The Phillip Island & District Railway Modellers Annual Exhibition is a fine reminder that model trains and railways are for both the young and the young at heart. For the enthusiasts, the big boys and their toys, this is serious business, and the fascination never gets old. This exhibition will be held at the Cowes Cultural Centre, 91 Thompson Avenue, Cowes on the weekend of 13 & 14 January 2018, from 10m to 5pm on the Saturday and 10am to 4pm on the Sunday. Admission is $7; Concession/Children $5; and Family Ticket for 2 adults and up to 3 children $20.
This fun for all ages event will have trains to run, train layouts, including a garden railway display, and trains to buy. Since its conception in November 2004, this annual event is well established and attracts holiday makers, serious train buffs and of course the children. Railway modelling is a fascinating multi skilled hobby, so if you'd like to join this captivating miniature world, be sure to give them a bell; or is that a toot?
This would really be worth seeing. Sadly we have other committments that weekend but since it's an annual show I'll watch out for the next one. My husband and I moved out of Melbourne to the Bass Coast last a couple of months ago.
