A sure way to ruin your diet, but the taste is worth it
If you're walking along Kingsford, you too might be tempted by the alluring aroma of Mochi Dessert Cafe - and with good reason. The menu has quite a bit of variety when it comes to food and beverage. Mochi Dessert Cafe is the perfect destination after you've just had a delicious meal in the area. With waffles, pancakes, coffees, bubble drinks, mochi and more at a very reasonable price with fantastic service - this dessert cafe is just amazing.

Above  is a delicious new addition to the menu, complete with Oreos, cream, chocolate sauce and cookies and cream ice-cream. The waffle was at a perfect temperature and texture. The ingredients were very well balanced and it tasted divine.

It is pretty difficult to compete with homemade pancakes that are made from scratch, but Mochi did extremely well. This particular lot was ordered to be fairly simple, with only maple syrup. The texture, taste and thickness of these pancakes was deliciously balanced and beautiful. For the unimpressed sweet tooths, there are plenty of extravagant pancake options available. Also, notice the cute Mochi-themed decor.

I don't remember which number mochi this was on the menu, but it is a hot mochi with peanuts, taro, sweet potato and pearls. If the favourite part of bubble drinks is also pearls for you, you're highly likely to enjoy this dessert. Although it isn't as obviously sweet as typical Western desserts, it is definitely unique and tasty.

Back to the waffles we come. This caramel waffle contains delicious crushed nuts, caramel sauce, caramel ice-cream and cream. I loved spreading the caramel ice-cream all over the waffle as this tasted absolutely divine. Once again, the waffle was perfect in temperature and texture. Note that the two waffles were actually purchased over two different visits, which suggests consistency.

Pictured above is a Mochi strawberry ice tea. It's not as sweet as its Easyway alternative, but that's where its charm lies. It actually tastes like real strawberries and the pearls are absolutely delicious.

Overall, I really recommend Mochi Dessert Cafe to absolutely everyone. The service and food are both wonderful. It can be lovely for a romantic date or even for a group of friends to share some dessert after a meal. It's inexpensive, delicious and cute. It was definitely worth the calories for me - no regrets for Mochi.
