Sundays are for chilling out
The Mixed Up Sunday Club, held at Loft, West End, is a welcome, chilled-out addition to the Sunday session scene.

Kicking off recently, I'd heard it was a place to enjoy live duos, mixed tapes, tapas on Sundays between 6pm and 10pm. I headed along when one of my favourite low-key reggae / roots musicians, Pete Hunt, was performing.

When I arrived, I checked out their cheap and cheerful snack menu and decided to order myself some pizza bread. I asked about drink specials and was told I could buy a jug of cocktails for $20, but as I was catching up with someone who was driving, I decided against tackling a jug solo. We enjoyed a catch up and some chilled live music, then Sunday-cool tunes in between sets.
