Come connect with other like-minded people at . This is your chance to support your community and show off and sell your special talents, whether they be in making arts and crafts such as patchwork quilting or calligraphy, delicious cakes and jams, or gardening.

Maybe you are a bonsai specialist who can share your experience of the many years it takes to make miniature trees.

There will be all your old favourite stalls plus new and unusual stalls.

And I bet, hidden among all that trash and treasure, there will be the antique you have been searching for.

Personally, I am a reader, and I adore this market as I always hit the book table and fill my recyclable bag with stories from Ireland and Scotland, or tales about Vikings or Greeks because this is my heritage. And they are wonderfully cheap.

Bring your Chrissy list - this is going to be better than shopping at the North Pole. And no need to bring a packed lunch as the sausages are not the only thing that are going to be sizzling - there will be food, glorious food to enjoy and share.

Of course, there will be a raffle with fab prizes.

The Mitcham Community House and its market does more than offer a great place to sell and shop on a lovely spring day, there is also an open house showcasing an incredible number of inclusive courses for any age. While you are there, explore the centre and research the classes listed such as learning about laptops, iPads, phones, or digital photography.

Or if you prefer, learn a new skilI, such as cake decorating, cheese making, French polishing, or painting. There are health and fitness classes such as Pilates, Tia Chi, yoga, meditation, strength training and even "don't worry be happy" courses so you can learn about life balance. Finally, there are language courses such as English as Second Language, or French and Spanish to prepare for that overseas holiday. All in all, there are around 80 courses and activities, so there is something for everyone.

And it is such a warm and welcoming house. Anne Kean, MCH Manager, says "This is your House. Feel free to stay a while before or after class and have a cuppa and a chat. We'd love to see you!"

They are also always looking for volunteers who have time and energy to give back to their community. So if you are a new mum feeling a bit lost at home, or a retiree missing the day to day stimulation of mind and body, then think of joining this inclusive group. Your talents will be more than appreciated.

Book your stall quick!

Stall sites are approx. 2.3 metres x 1 metre and cost are very reasonable. A table is $30 for inside, $25 for under the eaves, or $20 for outside on the grass. They can even supply you a table for $5 with free chairs and Public Liability Insurance for $5 (if you don't have your own, all stall holders must have Public Liability Insurance.)

Come check out this wonderful house and celebrate spring and meet new friends on 28th of October 10 am till 2 pm at 19 Brunswick Rd, Mitcham 3132
