A newcomer to Melbourne, I love exploring the city and sourrounds by day and night, finding bargains, learning new things, the great outdoors and Melbourne life in general.

New vegan bakery open in Ascot Vale
Mister Nice Guys has a reputation for its delicious vegan cupcakes sold in outlets in Melbourne (including Prahran market). Building on this success, the Mister Nice Guys Bakeshop opened on November 17th.

Here you will find cheesecakes, babkas, cookies, cinnamon rolls, brownies, raw deserts donuts and of course a wide variety of cupcakes. Savoury goods will be added to the menu shortly.

I was keen to try it out and early one Sunday joined other new curious customers where I sampled a hot chocolate and babka (an Eastern European sweet bread). The cafe is diner style inside with benches and chairs and outdoor seating at the front where you can enjoy a cake whilst watching the world go by.

This is a unique bakery and I challenge anyone, vegan or otherwise, to visit without buying a cupcake or six.

Just goes to prove, just because it is vegan doesn't mean it doesn't taste hmmm...goood! Been there a few times, and quite impressed, now everyone can have cake!
