First, there was I. Then, there was II, followed by III. Now, IV - possibly last movie in the series, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011) is set to hit the big screen this December.
Starring Tom Cruise as the fearless leader yet again, the movie brings back original characters from Mission Impossible II and III, as well as new names in the movie cast, such as Anil Kapoor, best known for his role in Slumdog Millionaire (2008). The movie is produced by J.J. Abrams, the director of the third film. The fourth movie in the series takes up the story of IMF agent Ethan Hunt, who along with the Impossible Mission Force, is disavowed when a terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin in Moscow. The United States government, as a result, initiates black ops - codename: 'Ghost Protocol'.
Hunt and his team are allowed to escape from government custody as part of an undercover plan, but are warned that if any member of his team is captured during their mission, they will be labelled as terrorists planning to incite global nuclear war. Ethan is forced to work with a former IMF agent who seems to know more about him and his past than he himself does. As the team begin their undercover mission, the IMF is ambushed, and as a result, Hunt and his team are forced to operate without any official support or backup and locate an intelligence source connected to the Moscow bombing and the IMF attack.

They have gone too far with this series, trying to emulate the likes of James Bond and failing. The film plays like a TV episode rather than an epic action flick, with Tom Cruise struggling to capture his energy displayed in the first and probably second film. The second, which has often been the most hated, is a step above this film.
