Mission Australia's annual Christmas Lunch in the Park is a wonderful community event designed to help out people who are doing it tough.
This will be the 41st year those who are dealing with financial problems, family breakdowns and homelessness are encouraged to attend. Once again food, fun and friendship will be on offer for the December 25 event.
And you can help out.
Volunteer positions are now open. There are jobs including serving food, hosting tables and working with the meet and greet team.
You could offer to assist in the pre-event entertainment team (if painting faces and playing cricket are your kind of things). Helpers are also needed in the gift tent team, to take photos on the day and to help set up and pack down.
Last year, 600 volunteers helped make the Christmas Lunch in the Park a wonderful event. No matter what your skills, you're sure to find a suitable position from the list here.
As well as donating your time, you can donate money to this wonderful cause.
Jump online here and choose a virtual present. These start at $10 for a basic donation, include $20 to buy someone lunch and go up to $500 for a full table sponsorship.
You could also get your workplace to become a sponsor. Money is needed to help pay for entertainment, purchase food and water and have on-site emergency services.
Have a look at the ways you can become a sponsor here. If you've got a specific product or service you'd like to find out about providing, get in contact with the organisers by phoning 08 9225 0400 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
